X5 says Jul–Sep IFRS net profit slumps by 72% on Karusel changes
MOSCOW, Oct 22 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russia’s X5 Retail Group, the owner of Pyaterochka, Perekrestok and Karusel chains, fell by about 72% on the year to 2.238 billion rubles in July–September due to depreciation of non-current assets at Karusel, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
Revenue increased 12.4% to 421.955 billion rubles.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) grew 3.5% to 28.645 billion rubles.
